I used this jig to taper back slats on adirondack chairs using cedar wood and it worked just fine. Other reviewers complained about it being made of too thin mdf board. You don’t have to torque down the clamps that much ., so as the sliding fence bows. At $20 off, it’s a good buy.

The jig came up about 3/4″ short of the blade so I couldn’t cut it to be a 0 clearance sled.

Good quality taper jig. It will cut a board exactly as you want and it’s safe to use. I use it for more than tapers because of the safety feature. I do wish the bolts were longer and the adjustable board was more rigid or it came with a brace to add to it for more rigidity.
