  • Non-Marring Feathers: Silicone feathers won’t damage your work piece and dampens vibration. Feather applies side and top hold on small pieces. Feathers are replaceable if damaged.

    Surprised that this highly rated bandsaw feed guide and feather extension performed so poorly as to border on useless. Too much slop in the device (on my Rikon 14″) when locked down to maintain even (or close to even) pressure on a board ~9.5″ tall with a 9″ fence (confirmed to be 90 degrees to table) behind the board. See photo (no amount of fiddling could close that top gap because the cam system in the miter slot is too wonky to hold firm). I’m 15 days past the return date, otherwise I’d return.

    Making kitchen cabinets with solid oak door panel. This makes the re-sawing process so much easier than a feather board and push paddle for side pressure. The rubber flap provides great side pressure

    I just resawed a stack of 2mm veneers, the first job I’ve done with the Guide Pro, and I’m very impressed. It’s extremely quick to set up, quick to adjust between each cut, and did a great job. I like that it applies pressure across the entire workpiece and I like how it takes mere seconds to adjust between each cut. My previous stack of traditional featherboards were annoying to set up for different height boards, time consuming to adjust between each cut, and only exerted pressure on the top and bottom of the board, which could cup thin stock. My only complaint about the Guide Pro is the price…it’s a bit steep for what’s effectively a squeegee, but it is well designed and performs. I won’t be going back to regular feather boards for resawing.
