After a few weeks of use, the non-stick function is less effective. Cleaning is now more of a bother than it was before. No dishwashing machine cleanings, just hand washing. This is a typical product that exhibits the same qualities and durability as less expensive manufacturers.

There are now no hot spots, and it is nonstick. I did not believe it would heat evenly, but I was surprised. It is, so far, nonstick as promised. It easily fits half a pack of bacon, six slices of bread, or four huge leg halves. We’ll see how long that lasts. I’ve made grilled cheese and turkey bacon sandwiches, pancakes, and the chicken in the images.

I don’t usually like to write reviews, but this time I’m going to share my impressions. When I first got it, I thought, ‘Wow, what a small grill’ (I used to have a bigger one). Really, there is no need to read the directions. It is quite easy to use. Plug it in, power it on, and presto.

My wife and I really liked this product. It is easy to use and food cooked in it tastes really great! And it looks good. We have used it an average of three or four times a month since we got it at Christmas in 2021. Tonight, as we were finishing up our dinner (we had air fried some egg rolls in it) we heard a strange clunk in the kitchen. As we investigated the sound my wife attempted to close the French doors, which she had left open to help it cool quicker, and found they were stuck open and would not budge. I investigated and slowly began to try to disassemble the doors far enough to figure out why they were stuck. The doors appear to be the only item attached to this unit with rivets instead of screws, and I discovered that the last item you can get to in the disassembly is the central disk at the bottom of the unit that is supposed to rotate allowing the doors to open and closes. As you can see in the attached pictures, this is a metal disk with a plastic piece under it. The plastic piece is attached to the bottom of the oven with three screws (you can see the holes for them around the periphery of the black melted stuff). The metal disk is attached to the plastic one by a screw that goes through the hole in the middle of the metal disk. As you can see, the plastic piece has had a catastrophic failure and is now very firmly attached to the metal one. No more rotation at all. I don’t see how this could have happened over time, so something must have gone really wrong with the heating element to get hot enough to do this. At least that’s the best I can figure without being able to see the mechanism in working order. I have probably voided my warranty by taking it apart this far, but I couldn’t see how the doors getting stuck would be so serious as to render the whole thing useless. And packing up a $200 appliance with the doors stuck open then paying shipping to get it to their facility is not something I think would be cost effective. I am hoping they will see this and honor the warranty. But, I’ll see.

I like the concept of air frying so decided to try a third one. It is perfect. My first one was a Philips. Very expensive and smoked so much, I could not even cook things like wings or burgers in the house. It was also the basket style fryer, so very little surface for frying. The second on I got was a toaster style with multiple trays and baskets. But, I didn’t realized the heating elements and fan where on one side. Things at that end would cook so fast and burn, you have to constantly move things around.
Then, I got the Kaloric Maxx, hoping I finally got it right. And, I did! YOU WANT YOUR HEAT AND FAN ON THE TOP AND CENTERED!!! Easy to use. Does a perfect job. I usually turn things over, to keep it even, but some things don’t need it. It does a great job at circulating. This oven is on Williams Sonoma for much for money.
